About Yoga Kul & It´s Method
Yoga Kul is not a brand. It is a lineage.
The literal meaning of Yoga Kul is: “A family of Yoga” — and that is exactly what this school stands for: a living tradition.
Founded on the principles of traditional Hatha Yoga from India, Yoga Kul is dedicated to preserving and transmitting yoga in its most authentic form — as a science of self-transformation. Our methods are grounded in the wisdom of the scriptures, developed through decades of practice, and refined in modern therapeutic settings.
At the heart of the system is discipline through awareness. The method warms and prepares the body through accessible sequences, expands mobility joint by joint, and culminates in deep postural stillness. The result is strength, flexibility, and stability — not as goals, but as tools for subtle awakening.
The Open Your Back system is one of seven class types within the broader Yoga Kul Method — developed by Indian yoga champion and co-founder Deepak Bhardwaj. Rooted in classical Hatha Yoga and adapted with biomechanical intelligence, the method is now taught across Mexico and abroad.
Lineage & Vision
Yoga Kul began in 2013 with small community groups in Mexico City, and has since evolved into a multi-lineage school rooted in the philosophy of self-study (svādhyāya) and spiritual practice. Co-directors Ana Paula Ruiz Gatica and Juliana Beets, both trained at Kaivalyadhama in India, guide the theoretical core of the program. Together with a growing network of dedicated teachers, they carry forward the vision: to keep yoga sacred, living, and real.
We believe:
→ Yoga is not a product, it is a path.
→ Lineage matters. Tradition matters. Practice matters more.

Deepak Bhardwaj
Co-Founder of the Yoga Kul Method
National & International Yoga Champion
Deepak Bhardwaj began his yogic journey at the age of 5 in northern India, within a lineage of yogis dedicated to preserving ancient and traditional methods of Hatha Yoga.
Trained from a young age with deep discipline, he quickly rose to prominence in India’s yoga championships, becoming national champion at the age of 12, a title he held for over a decade under the Indian Yoga Federation.
Inspired by the therapeutic potential of classical yoga, Deepak developed a system of practice that integrates progressive warm-ups, structural sequencing, and sustained postures held with deep awareness.
This system became known as the Yoga Kul Methods, which includes class formats such as Open Your Back, Flexibility Method, Hatha-Raja System, and Extension Class.
His method combines ancient wisdom with modern biomechanical intelligence, making yoga accessible to all levels and body types.
Based in Mexico since 2013, Deepak has trained hundreds of practitioners and teachers, sharing a vision of yoga as a path of holistic transformation — physical, mental, and spiritual.
